“Remember our Savior, Christ the King.
His works and grace and all good things.
Give thanks to Him, rejoice in Him always.
Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!”
Hi friends! I wrote a new song :) So here is little story behind this song.
Last January, when I visited Poland, one of my friends took me to a kindergarten with her where she works. She asked me to sing some Japanese songs for the kids. But since I didn’t know any “kids songs” in Japanese, I decided to write a short simple song. Something I could sing a long with a guitar.
I wrote a lyric based on Psalm 145 and The Lord’s Prayer. And as some of you know, I have two sisters (and three brothers) “Mikuni” and “Megumi”, their names mean “The Kingdom of God” and “Grace”, so yes the word “grace” came out in the lyric and also my name “The works of God”. But since I didn’t really think about “having all three of us’ names” in the song when I was writing this lyric, I forgot to mention “Mikuni (The Kingdom of God)” in the lyric.
When I came back from Poland, my sister Mikuni told me that she was very sad that I didn’t include her name in the song. And so I decided to re-write the song, re-wrote the lyric from scratch, and I wrote a new tune base on the last one I wrote.
So here is the song. I hope y’all like it! :)
The King of Grace, May His Works Be Praised
Lyric (Based on Psalm 145 and The Lord’s Prayer):
O Praise the Lord our King, our God.
We bless your name for evermore.
Your steadfast love and grace and righteousness.
All your works shall give thanks to you Lord, God.
Open hands to us. To satisfy our desires.
Preserve us from darkness, keep those who fear the Lord.
Those who sow in tears shall reap with shout of joy.
Praise the Lord, everlasting God.
